What's on your mind?
The mind is such an intricate being on its own. It's a powerful nerve centre that can make or break us.
Don't know why but I've been watching Oprah and actually like it. To think that I am now the living joke of what I used to putt about. Then, I didn't know what the show was all about. All I knew were these stupid magazines trying to tear her career apart with the help of losers known as paparazzi.
Have you watched the show yourself? It is quite a human drama talkshow. I cried with so many of the stories I heard in the past month. People with addictions, people with a painful past, people who had a story to tell - often a story of courage and human triumph. I mean, I had no idea what I was talking about when I called these tear jerking episodes cliche. Now I can't get enough. Maybe I'm losing my skeptic edge and smouldering into a bleating lamb.
What does attact is the fact that the show is full of positive energy and inspirational messages of hope. To see the trials in the light of the tragedy other people go through does put our own problems in perspective. It's a perfect reminder that we've made our mole hill into a mountain.
That said, what is on your mind today? If you're not living with hope and giving hope, you're just wasting your life.
Because we revolve around the world, not the other way round.
And you know what? I have a new goal to appear on her show. Yes, you got a problem? Stop laughing, yes, you there in the corner ...

Lull
This is not a rockabye baby tune. This is the lull I heard in my room two days ago. Been hearing things - nothing actually. Been awefully quiet and bland. Which is what I've looked forward to. Which led me to sleep the hours away, more than I ever needed. Or maybe it was the number of sleepless days turned in from work and irregular shifts.
That one evening last week made one thing clear to me. I need to get out before it's too late. I won't say too much for now, but the idea of 'quitting while you're ahead' is quite ironic at this moment. I must say I have been sick at the job and hopefully the relevant people won't get to read this and premature my departure.
And even if they did, it would give me pressure to go look for another job... quickly.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, even though this weekend isn't quite over yet. Well, you don't know how exciting the next weekend is for me, so I'll let it rest.
Speaking of rest, it's time I took mine. 3 hours to daybreak.

if dreams are like movies, then memories are films about those ...
Adam Duritz has an uncanny ability to come up with such clever ironic phrases bordering on the unforgettable classics.
Thing is, do you know which song this line came from? Let's see if you are a true fan.
Anyhow, John Mayer is coming back here for a show in April and last Friday morning was a frenzy at the online pre-sale. We ended up with 12 tickets for 4 people. So now we gotta figure out who else wants the rest of the 8.
And they are great seats.

Day 2
We flew out in haste, in season and style,
Breaking a leg, pushing the stakes,
Serving up a dollop of mind bending games.
We took off our line of defence, speaking as we do,
Mixing the cold atmosphere with the warm breath of fresh cologne
Puffing up the daily lilies of waking coffees
The latecomers gush and push away the darting eyes
Up onto the ladder of their corporate lift
Dribbling away at the execution desk
At the drive in, I marveled at the onlookers
The pedestrians crossing as they scurry across
With heads bolted to the mercury vintage
We rode out in the 50s, stuck in the present,
Of all things reminiscent, of nostalgic noir,
Finishing touches to an age-old tale.
We took a break, a smoke around the cathedral bend,
While we sat by the gothic fall, he beckons,
“Ain’t it a glory job?”
The pictures were the mantra of the master’s pride;
The master himself a fighting showbiz warrior
With passion and zeal as eyes.
I made for the door, through the kitchen window,
Dashing through the snow of ice cold chambers,
Breaking out into the blistered sun.
I sat in the car, pushing the pedal away,
Moving closer away from home,
Lifting up the music in my ears.
I sat with a tight grip on the wheel,
Holding my vision clear, through the looking glass,
Holding the wavering lids where my shades sat anew.
As a warm spring in my heart
Sang along to the freedom song,
“My Lord I give my thanks to thee.”

Actually, it's 11pm now and I need to get to bed. But the roof won't let up. Argh! XBox is evil! I don't blame the boys - stone microsoft!
Prowl
The panther has landed on my powerbook. Yes, the F9 key is so useful and safari is such a good excuse to ditch Internet Explorer. Nice!
Tomorrow, I start my new job as an assistant to photographer. I gotta come up with a better name than that. Any ideas?
I gotta wake up to get to work by 7.30am! When was the last time I took in the morning mist at such an early hour?

Things you would know if you were my housemate
1. I cracked my contact lens last week which costs me $140 to replace,
2. The optometrist who replaced the above contacts broke my rimless glasses while trying to service it, therefore, I am getting a new replacement,
3. I've been wearing contacts - read, Hard Lens, for more than 12 hours a day cos that's my only vision aid,
4. I almost backed the van into my boss risking her life today while I turned the ignition of the van on, only to discover that the gear shift was in bloody reverse (one of the boys must have left it that way) resulting in the van jerking a few steps back,
5. I found a new job as an assistant to a high end photography studio,
6. I was given a new pair of Nike sunglasses.
I am thankful but don't really feel that well. I must learn to be patient. The fruits will bear in the right season.

Known Bugs: Does not work well with Explorer for Mac OSX 10.x. Menu items incorrectly displayed on Explorer for Windows XP. Works well in OmniWeb except tagboard does not work. Not sure about Safari for Mac OS X. Anyone got any luck on that?
